Support group

Adult ADHD Melbourne runs a monthly face-to-face group for adults with ADHD. The group is held on the second Saturday of the month, in the Melbourne CBD.

This is a “peer support” group, so it’s a place to seek and share support, information, and experiences with other adults with ADHD. From time to time we also run talks and other events.

Adults with ADHD, their family, and friends are welcome. It’s OK if you don’t have a formal diagnosis yet.

Questions

How much does it cost to attend?

For support group meetings a $2 contribution is appreciated, to help cover room costs. If you can’t afford this, it’s OK – please come anyway!

For formal talks/seminars we often have to hire a larger room, so in these cases there is a higher cost (typically $10 or $5 concession), but this is made clear well beforehand.

Can I come to the support group if I’m a health professional?

If you’re a health professional or other professional working with Adult ADHD, there are a couple of things to consider. First, you may have clients or patients who attend the group, and it may make them uncomfortable about attending. Also, the group is a peer support rather than professional-led group. Contact us beforehand if you’re unsure.
